This is the single for my very first EP, Fine Whines and College Tries. I wrote the 4 songs of the EP between 2016 and 2017, when I was a sophomore or junior in college studying comparative culture and jazz. I was playing in a band called Nice Trip (which can be found only here, on Bandcamp).
Risky's about a break up. It was the first song I had ever sang lead and played drums on. I felt vulnerable, sweaty, but like I was fighting for something. Risky's kind of about that, too. I guess I've started this project in hopes of getting that feeling back. The guys in the band make it a breeze and I'm excited to bring these songs to life.
